Al Hambra Palace
Saturday, October 24th, 2009Al Hambra Palace was completed towards the end of Muslim rule in Spain by Yusuf I (1333-1353) and Muhammed V, Sultan of Granada (1353-1391). The literal Arabic translation of Al Hambra is “Red Fortress” derived from the colour of the surrounding red clay from which the fort is made.
